On Feb 27TH 2012, VIETSURVEY hosts a visit of fellows from the Water Resources University (WRU) lead by Doctor Hung Nguyen Manh who is senior fellow of Toulouse School of Economics (TSE) in France and Vice Dean of Economic Department of WRU. The meeting focus on choice experiment design and implementation. VIETSURVEY, Dr. Hung Nguyen Manh and WRU fellows agree on the joint research programme which measures how Vietnamese households value and response to ﬂood risk reduction. The pilot fieldwork will be carried out in Nghe An province with both inland and costal districts before scaling up. This is flagship research program on the climate change adaptation in Vietnam as VIETSURVEY pioneers conducting survey based on choice experiment approach. The survey is expected to be implemented in April, 2012.
